I've been thinking for some time (I'm 52) that I should get a health check up, the wife has been thinking the same and spoke to bupa who want £600 for both of us, I have no idea whether this is in the right ball park, or whether I should be talking to anybody else rather than bupa.
Any recommendations please.
Thanks
Gareth

Most GP surgeries offer a health check type service - especially for certain age groups such as over 40s, over 50s etc. Might not be as comprehensive as the BUPA one but they normally cover the essentials. And they're free!

I've just had a reminder from the GP to go for a health check. As above not as comprehensive as a BUPA check but covers the essentials. You might want to try Nuffield or Spire if you have a hospital near you as they may be cheaper
