Getting beyond a joke really, I seem to go through phases of lurching between injuries. I might hit a good bill of health but then it's calf muscle, once that's recovered couple of weeks and it's a hamstring or groin etc. It just really does my head in because then I'm not training and I'm getting more unfit of course I do the obligatory rush back too soon and re strain a muscle but this just seems beyond the norm.
I do my stretches and warm up. I'm 35 and always happens playing football been like this since I was 28 but getting progressively worse.
Any advice welcome

Describe your warm up. Are you really warming up everything that will be pushed?

Maybe you're not allowing full recovery?
If you start back while something's injured you'll be putting unusual strain/movement on something else to compensate which results in 'new' injury. Perhaps.

Are you getting enough 'Magnesium' in your diet?

Injuries are inevitable, and the longer you play sport and the older you get the more the chance of injury rises.

Are you under and pressure/stress maybe outside of sport or is the worry of further injury a major stressor?

I had a pulled calf, and painful thigh. Assumed they were muscle injuiries, but turned out to be pressure on a nerve in my back.
