Clean9 diet success
Discussion
Just thought I'd share my experience of this in case anyone has heard of it or is thinking of trying it as there is a lot of mixed opinions about. Firstly, it's not cheap at over £100 but if you think of it as 9 days scran then it's not so bad. Anyway after steadily putting on some pounds since Christmas I decided to do it and I lost 10lbs and 2 inches from my waist and 2 inches from my thighs. It's made me feel and think totally different about food and my own appetite and I've continued to lose a further 6lbs since finishing the 9 days. Completely recommend it. Think of it as a non intrusive colonic!

Blimey, can't really understand why. Maybe bad marketing or something
I'd say the opposite and suggest that it's great marketing
Very low calorie intake, some exercise, a dash of laxative and a smattering of appetite suppressant and Voila! some water weight has disappeared. £100 to you squire. However, if you feel it's worked for you, then good for you, keep up the good work. But you can have 'Move more, eat less' for free.
Hmm I disagree, from personal experience and maybe it's being dismissed a little because people don't know enough about it. I believe the idea is to detox, rid the body of toxins by consuming natural product mainly aloe vera juice (which is rank) but is apparently good for you. I don't think it's just a fad diet type thing which is guaranteed to work because you're consuming less, it's more of a mind-set changer and educator too. Each to their own though I guess.
Sounds like I'm arguing but I'm genuinely glad that you feel it made a difference for you. But in a program where you don't eat for 2 days, then you have 1000 calories a day for a week, with 'moderate' exercise throughout, you're in significant calorie deficit so, yes, you'll lose weight. That's all there is to it. There's no such thing as detoxing (apart from the medical treatment for addiction), it's just pseudo-scientific marketing guff.

^^^ This - it does make me smile when people say that they are on a detox - everyone, except those with broken kidneys and livers perhaps, are constantly on a detox. We'd all be dead pretty soon otherwise!jonnykerm said:

There is no such thing as a 'detox', just stopping putting bad things in our bodies that require the body to utilise its natural detox process which occurs 24/7, regardless of what supplements you might take. What you are actually doing is giving the body a respite from higher level detoxing by eating healthier.

I am a natural cynic I am afraid and have always found the idea of 'detox' and 'toxins' to be wishy washy and vague, that is to say - if there was something to it you would be told something more precise than a generalised negative word. No different to having 'bad humours'.
However, it seems to work as a concept as people lap the idea of a 'detox' up - and will attribute any physical side affect of anything to 'toxins coming out'

Glad you're losing weight but it is a fad diet. Calories in over calories out but I agree having a structure set by someone else can be beneficial to your mindset. Shame it was costly thoughbigandclever said:

Exactly, if one is so stupid to pay money for this crap then you're doomed. 10 lbs in 9 days lol. Try another round and your colon will implode.nit will all be water weight. Bet you it's back on in 6 weeks. 2 lb a week is about max unless you're obese.bigandclever said:
