What is this on my lads foot ?
Discussion
Hi all
Over the last two days my lad 9 years old has been growing a lump on the bottom of his foot, he says a little uncomfortable to press on but not bad. I'm just not sure what it is, there are no black dots in it that would suggest a Verruca, it does not seem like a blister it is pretty hard .
Will probably take him to the docs when I can get an appointment.
Any one got any ideas what it might be and how to treat it or is he just trying to clone himself via Mitosis and in a few weeks I will have to put up with two of them.

I can't help but in the interest of medical science I would have given him half a bottle of whiskey and gone to town on that with a really big needle.
Its a good suggestion and had thought about sticking a pin into it to see what happens, but my wife put a stop to that on the grounds of me not knowing what I am doing and infection and stuff. May have to try later when she is out.Cpl nobby nobbs said:

i think id get that seen to. its the redness leading away from it you want to keep an eye on esp if it starts forming tracks. had something similar on my wrist. wasnt worried about it until red lines started to appear up my arm. the docs seemed quite concerned. i never found out for sure what it was, but i think spider or other bitey think
Look up some of the pics for false widow spider bite and see if it looks similar. I had a blister type one on my ankle last year and the doc said if it started to track ( red line going up leg) then I was to go hospital immediately.
I'd suggest going to your GP to have it checked properly.

No not yet. Not managed to get a docs appointment outside of working hours yet.
Evidently the missus has already stabbed it with a pin but it was too hard (bloody limp wristed women) then I got in trouble again because I told him it might be a spider that has laid eggs in there and they will eat their way out.
Who would have known a 9 year old lads imagination could turn that into a nightmare!
Then the little bugger grassed me up by telling his mum that I had told him that. From now on I will call him snitchie McSnitch pants.
I'm about to soak it in hot water then give it some Jip with a pin.
