My Leg Feels Hot!
Discussion
This is a strange one so please bear with me. Been happening since Friday, but every so often the back of my right thigh feels like it's really hot, almost like it's catching the sun. But it's only there, my other leg is fine, and nowhere else gets even a bit warm. I know I'm quite strange but this is something new to me, wonder if anyone could shed some light on it?
This could be a sign of cellulitis but the skin would usually be warm and red constantly, not intermittently. A DVT is also a possibility but these are usually (but not always) seen with swelling in the calf with a constant achy nagging pain.
If it feels like it has been in the sun but there are no rashes to be seen then it is likely a neuralgia pain, ie. something is irritating the nerves. This could be a wide range of things from the onset of shingles before the rash has started to sciatic pain referred to the thigh.
Previous advice is correct, go and see your GP.
I am not a Dr but have a very similar role in general practice

Cheers guys, it is really weird, almost like the feeling of sunburn, but only for 10 seconds or so then it goes back to normal, and it's only on the right leg, left is completely fine. Thing is, while it feels like my leg is hot, it isn't hot to the touch, it feels the same as the other leg. Will see what the doc says
