Morning all.

One week on from the scalpel-less technique now favoured. The bruising and swelling have just about gone. The incision site is just a minor red dot.

There's an achey feeling still when the boys are moved forwards or backwards, when I get up or sit down.

Anyone else experienced this afterwards? Different for everybody?

Lol. No advice to offer but how did you go about organising said operation? Is it a trip to the doctors? Big waiting list?

Wife is due on Christmas day with our 2nd and ive promised myself the snip for my 34th birthday in March.

I just put it and Sheffield into Google!

The local NHS walk in centre had a self referral form that you fill in and email to them. There was then a consultation/inspection with the knife man just to make sure he is happy with going ahead with it.

After that there was a 4 week wait. I was in and out in 25 mins tops.

Or pick your date and time if you go Marie Stopes and pay £400, think there is usually a decent discount code doing the rounds during national vasectomy week.

Was in and out in less than 45 mins and that included a nice post procedural rest on a comfy chair with a cuppa and some nice biscuits. Back to office work the day after.

It's been easing off day by day so I'm a bit happier now. The plumbing works as before as well, due to some test work over the weekend!
