Spots on my head after haircut - annoying
Discussion
Does this happen to anyone else?
Most times I go for a haircut, I develop spots on my skin within a couple of hours. Quite sore red bumps which feel and look like red teenage spots.
I have quite short hair (Number 2 back/sides and scissors on top) and it seems to be mostly around the back of my neck/head where the clippers are used, but sometimes on the top.
I visit the barber probably every 4 weeks and always get my haircut on the way home from the office so that I get a shower as soon as I get in to remove all the hair that I will inevitably be covered in, so my hair and skin gets washed within an hour of having a trim.
I doesn't seem to matter which barbers I use, the problem still occurs. Same after I've had a trim at 'Ted's Grooming Room' so I can't say it's because I use grubby places!
The spots go after about 3-4 days, but while they are present they look a little unsightly and are sore.
Any suggestions as this has been happening to me for years and I really think I should find a solution!

I have the same problem.
After one 'break out' I went to the doctors and they prescribed anti biotics which did work, but I am reluctant to take those forever. One thing I have noticed is that when the sun is out or I have been on a summer holiday the issue is greatly reduced, so perhaps it is more likely to be a vitamin issue, which ever one is good for skin, is it C or D ?

Maybe it's whatever you wash your hair (and scalp) with when it's a little raw?
Try not using shampoo, just water to rinse out the offcuts.
/baldybloke advice.
I tried just washing my head with just plain water from the shower a few times without shampoo but unfortunately it didn't make a difference!Try not using shampoo, just water to rinse out the offcuts.

Your barber is using dirty equipment.
Try a proper salon and see if anything changes.
I speak from experience I'm afraid.
I've tried different places and my the usual 2 I use are really quite tidy in my opinion... Although one of them is one of those 'cool' hipster places full of guys in Wayfarer Ray Bans, massive beards, full sleeve tattoos and 1950's haircuts... And shelves stocked with tins of 'Pomade' whatever the hell that is... Try a proper salon and see if anything changes.

As mentioned in my OP, I also got 'spotty' after visits to Teds Grooming Room's, and you would like to think those places are kept spotless?
But maybe you are right though and I've just been unlucky in the places I've been?
