fancy recording all of my movements and training but completely in teh dark.
my training is 3 days in the gym on the weights and 3 days of cardio activities, is there one that can record the gym activities in some way or is that a manual input thing? cant imagine how it would record gym stuff without input tbh.
alongside this i do a lot of activity during the day but would need the watch to be slim, comfortable and quite tough, i guess if this rules out something thats more effective then I'll comprimise these points as functionality is more important.
fancy adding some surfing to my training ] in the future so waterproof would be handy but again not massively important.
anyone use these and got some handy info? any threads?

its as much an activity record for me though, not so into calorie counting (although it'll be interesting)
iit's first steps in sussing out the mapping of my activity as a whole so i can join it with the 'Lily' videos next year that'll cover cardio and gym as a tutorial thing,
i suspect for now that the gym side will just have to be input manualy but i'd like an auto update to facebook which is where i'll base the tutorial

I'm currently using a Polar M400, its a GPS tracking running watch and activity tracker and seem fairly happy with it (about 3months in now). the polar 'flow' app is nice and easy to use as and look at what training you've done.
the gps tracker bit seems good for running/ distance type cardio, but the activity tracker/movement prob wouldnt be too accrutate for machine based cardio (eg your body doesnt move that much on machines) but it would be fine to use a record of your training.
watches are pretty rugged, i wear mine canoeing, held up well so far, only a couple of minor scuffs, also worn it climbing.

Expensive option but of course the IWatch does lots of other tricks - including telling the time.
Errm, so does the Fitbit Charge HR. I did see that the Apple Watch heart rate tracking is not actually very good compared to the tech in the Fitbit/Microsoft band though.Pvapour said:

i've plumped for the MS band as all reviews seem to rate it + its iOS compatible (apart from Cotana, but thats no big deal)
like the styling and the MS software looks pretty good.
Good call, I am waiting for Band2 as I already have a Fitbit (and Windows Phone)

Got it but after a week I find it waaaay to uncomfortable which completely negates its features which is a shame, HR isn't THAT accurate either, GPS is tho.
Couldn't try for fit due to living in France and it not being sold in shops!
Selling it now and trying to find a Surge to try on as most reports say its nearest to band but allot more comfortable, plus I can get the scales that link to it which get favourable reviews.
Will post back..
