Chaps

Sorry if this is a daft question, but I'm starting to do more HIIT on the running machine and after 3/4 "attempts" I am having to jump off the machine and move the treadmill back to where it was, then again repeating the process.

Would a rubber mat help at all? (treadmill on wooden floor) would I only need to put it at the front legs or back also?

Thanks,

Probably won't hurt. You could also try tying it to something study if there's anything to hand.
