A few weeks ago I started getting lower back pain, accompanied by pain in the right nad. Ultrasound scans revealed nothing.
Suspecting back problems, I saw my physio who believes its sacroiliac joint problems. He has given me some exercises, as has my PT. I have been doing them regularly and properly but if anything the problem is worsening.
The nad pain has now moved. If I walk or stand for more than a few minutes I get pain from the front of my hip down the front to my groin. I can feel a raised ridge of what I presume to be tight muscle in my lower abdomen and I get a loss of sensation in that area.
I'm having pelvic X-rays this week, but I am still thinking it's SIJ somewhere along the line.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm a chiropractor and I've treated loads of people with SIJ problems, you're describing rather classic symptoms of pain and its associated referral pattern; but that certainly doesn't mean it couldn't be plenty of other stuff.
Where in the UK are you? I may be able to help out if you're remotely local, or I can see if I know of a colleague near your area.
A bit more information would be handy.....age, gender, onset (did it start gradually, or was there a sudden event), any possible reasons you can think of as to why it started, other than walking or standing are there any other aggravating factors (what about coughing/sneezing, certain movements etc?)
Cheers

I am early 50s. The problem started through weight training I think, but became worse when I stopped training as much over summer. Then for no reason I can think of it suddenly became much worse, very swiftly.
The pain has moved about. It started as back and right testicle, then moved to back and right groin, then right groin only, then right upper thigh only and then it vanished entirely for a few hours.
Sneezing and coughing sends a shock through my hip and abdomen, which initially led me to believe I had a hernia. The muscles linking the front hip and groin seem to become very tight after standing or walking.
