How much coffee is too much coffee?
Discussion
So i know that there are some health benefits to coffee, with male cancers etc however what are the negative effects off too much coffee?
I had 7 cups yesterday, it came up in conversation last night (. I don't have any addiction, i just really love coffee! I can function fine with out it, i went all of today without a drop and i don't get any withdrawel symptoms if i don't have it.
I've never felt that i drink too much nor have i ever experianced any side effects that i know of, i don't struggle with sleep if i have it after a certain time etc.

I think it depends on what type of coffee and its strength. I average around 8-10 cups of Lavazza instant and it has little to no effect on me
3 espressos however, I'm twitching, a bit clammy and generally a bit wired.
I try and get a decent coffee in first thing around 8am and that sets me up for the day, everything after that, while it's come from a jar that says coffee, it doesnt do much

10 or so years ago I would drink in excess of 10 cups a day of very potent Flavia coffee at work; 10 strength and a couple at home.
It got to the stage that I'd get grumpy and sometimes the shakes if I didn't get my fix so I managed to wean myself down to a more acceptable level; I still like my morning coffee but I can now go a day without another but usually I'll have 1 or 2 at work.

Caffeine is a powerful stimulant, and it can be used to improve physical strength and endurance. It is classified as a Nootropic because it sensitizes neurons and provides mental stimulation.
Habitual caffeine use is also associated with a reduced risk of Alzheimer's, cirrhosis, and liver cancer.

I took a month off caffeine last year.
After reading some of the benefits of caffeine vis-a-vis training, I fancy another detox to reset my receptors.
Hmmm, but I also use coffee in the mornings as help when I fast (I do 16/8). Any ideas on decaffeinated hot beverages (not fruit teas) for consumption?
