Crown & Post loose after a few months...

I've got a post and crown where one of my Lateral Incisor's once was.
I had it originally installed about 12 months ago. However, every 3 or 4 months the thing becomes loose and I have to go back to the dentist to have it reset.
It's been loose for a month or so now (long story short - I dread, read hate, going to the dentist), but tonight, the crown and post fully came out. I've since popped it back in place.
Are there any other options besides going back to the dentist? Do these cement kits work?
Can't bear the thought of going back every two months just for this - I feel like the world is ending when I go just for a check up!
