£44 a month, central London gym with swimming pool.
No one ever there and its like its my own private swimming pool most days I use it.
I think its good value.
That does sound good.No one ever there and its like its my own private swimming pool most days I use it.

I visited a DLL with tennis courts. Everything was £109 (about £80 without the tennis). I'm not interested in the classes, the cardio machines or the pool. I think the salesman died on his feet today as he trotted out his standard spiel to amaze. I struggle to see how anyone can be paying £80 for the pool, gym and classes tbh. Ok, it's only £20 a week but compared to Nuffield with similar kit at £60 and smaller gyms without a pool going for much cheaper rates (eg 20 a month), I'm unconvinced it's value for money. I'm trying to convince myself it's worth it.
Also, loads of kids running around made it feel the opposite of exclusive. It was like a Harvester on a Sunday afternoon.

Plus its in a Hotel and is here.

So it might not be what you would call a gym, gym...
It does have spa facilities (not that I ever use them), steam room and sauna.
I pay £37pm for a PFI council number. The gym is not great but I am mostly a member as I like to do proper swimming and its one of the few places with a decent 8 lane 25m pool near me.
I wish mine would spend some of my subs on some bleach and a couple of cloths as its fking disgusting in places.

Brand new Pure Gym, just opened on a brand new site. Opening offer £10.99 per month including all classes and no fixed term. Open 24x7 as well
Pretty decent value
I used to belong to one of those. Good value and well stocked. Unfortunately the low price attracts some undesirables. The weights area can be like the wild west at times. I knew I was in a classy joint when I had to take a can of special brew off the bench press bench before I could use it. :-) Pretty decent value

£50/m (Inc NHS discount) for a crossfit gym.
Manage 3x per week usually, sometimes two. It's not cheap but it's always a coach led class, small numbers and you always feel like you got your hours worth.
I'm starting to struggle with being in a seemingly constant state of "doms" though. Getting old u think.

The doms isn't in the same place, though, is it? So you get to rest one muscle group while training another? If you're always aching but it moves around, that's normal. You get used to it.Hoofy said:
