Happened to me before, long warm bath with ears submersed for a while.... Then holding my nose and (trying to) blow through it puts pressure through the ear passage just enough to clear them.
Hot steamy shower followed by a good curry, then another steamy shower; if that doesn't shift it it's quack time. What you have is very common. The only thing that can help is a nasal decongestant, something like otrovine or sudafed. The space behind the ear drum drains via the Eustachian tube that exits at the back of the nose. Use the decongestant for one week, and it can help speed up recovery. Otherwise it's just watching and waiting. It should resolve on its own eventually.
