Hi guys,

Since October I've been experiencing a blocked nose and feel as though phlegm is blocking my throat, which I'm constantly having to bring up. The colour of the phlegm is clear but it's thick. I've been to the doctors on numerous occasions and they've not been much help. I'm hoping some of you on here might help me in telling me what it can be.

Watched as I'm the same although with a hacking bark cough...

My doctor said it was Asthma, I doubt it...

I was also told it was asthma and was given an inhaler, made no difference. I'm hoping it's a seasonal thing, I can't get myself to think it will be like this in the summer.

Try googling nasal polyps and chronic sinusitis. If the symptoms seem familiar you should push your doctor for a referral to an ENT clinician.

Similar thing here for about 5 weeks now, maybe longer. A nose that seems to refuse to make proper bogies smile, just a low level of thick mucus at the back on the nose/throat with not much else to show other than a really minor sore throat a couple of times that seem to clear after a day or so. The OH is fed up with me sniffing all the time, but when I try to blow my nose there's not much able to come out. All a bit annoying but not bad enough to worry about. Good to see it's not just me!

Good shout on nasal polyps, however the blocked nose feeling switches between nostrils throughout the day. Got another doctors appointment booked and will push for a ENT referral.

How did the scope up the nose feel? I'm quite squeamish with these kind of things lol.

Tickly, a bit uncomfortable / strange but absolutely nothing to worry about...nose and eyes watered a bit after.

I had one a few years ago, nowhere near as bad as I feared, felt a bit "coldy" afterwards for a while
