Since Monday afternoon I've had a growing feeling of all the muscles in first my legs and now my arms feeling pulled / strained. Not an ache, it's like I've overdone it in the gym.

I've had a bit of a cold the prior few days but felt ok Sunday, I did a light 30 min spin on my turbo trainer in the evening.

Come Monday afternoon I've got that DOMS feeling setting in, odd I thought as I'd not gone hard on the turbo at all.

Then by the evening my abs and biceps were feeling the same.

I woke up Tuesday with every muscle in my legs and arms tight and feeling strained, I struggled into work with ibruprofen helping.

Yesterday I couldn't get out of bed my legs were so stiff.

Today they're a little better but my arms are really suffering and I have no grip strength in my hands.

I've got a GP appointment at 5pm today but what the hell is wrong with me? I've never felt like this before, some are saying flu but it's not an ache like flu.

I'm guessing the doc says it's a virus.

Most likely a virus but have a check against this just in case, a girl at work was taken in last week, dreadful:

Could be Guillain–Barré syndrome. get it checked out with your doc.

Definitely worth asking on here OP. You are definitely dying.

In reality you probably have GB and Meningitus or whatever the next poster saw mentioned on the news this week hehe

Yeh asking on here is like googling your symptoms sometimes, but there are some clued up types so thought it worth asking.

Legs were better yesterday, I could actually walk normally in the afternoon but got tighter in the evening again.

Doc (who was pretty thorough tbf) did indeed say virus of some sort!

Arms and hands are still bad today.

2nd day ill off work today and I feel as you are describing, I'm putting it down to being ill; flue symptoms, headache, vomiting (only yesterday early morning) and feeling lethargic, I have felt like this before.

Probably this combined with bad aids.

Nah, it's 48 hour AIDS, take two paracetomol and it'll pass.

Or you may die horribly...

M.

PS Hope you feel better OP - Laughter is the best medicine, unless you're actually ill biggrin
