Crown replacement

One of my upper front teeth had a crown fitted after I fell off my bike as a kid.

After 28 years of good service the crown has cracked and is falling apart and has to be replaced.

Dentist has offered an NHS crown for £225 or a Private porcelain one for £750.

Anyone know if there are any practical benefits to the porcelain one? I've been told it looks a bit better, closer to a natural tooth, but what about strength and longevity?
I've looked around for advice online, and I'm not finding much.

Have a look at E-Max crowns, Zirconium crowns and Procera vs porcelain fused to metal crowns (PFM).

The PFM is what you'll get on the NHS

Porcelain way more cosmetic...new ones are strong too. Worth the money.
