Not sure if its just another aging thing...

I have noticed that most of the hair on my calves is now just gone.... anyone else had this?

Yep, in my case it was a problem of this.

Other causes too. Seek proper advice.

I have the same. Always assumed it was just caused by socks?

It's age. My legs used to be carpeted. I now have thinned areas.

I always assumed it was just a result of wearing (tightish) jeans all of the time

Like most regular welly boot wearers, I have a bald ring round my calfs about 18 inches from the ground.

I've just inspected my calves. The backs are less hairy than the fronts, but they've always been that way.

I can't recall ever being able to wear tight jeans as an adult, for one reason or another, but I'm a long way from Richard Keys in the lower half of my body.

Age, circulation, probably other stuff is reality. Plus the good old lack of good hair where you want it and crap or vibrant hair where you don't!

What was the question?

It's just an age thing irked

The hairs from your legs migrate ........ in a couple of months time you'll find (and be moaning about) hair sprouting from your ears ears

Glad I am seeing the same as other people - not high blood pressure, thankfully. And yes more nose and ear hairs!

It's age. The hair has vanished from my calves but I seem to have more underneath my kneecaps. My girlfriend calls them 'knee rugs'. frown

Its probably lowering testosterone levels.

I understand levels start diminishing from 35-40 onwards so that's probably something to do with it.

I'm 44 but legs and arms still as hairy but I am bald so perhaps because testosterone has killed the hair follicles on my head my limbs are holding out!
