Which beard trimmer?

My trustee Remington MB320C (http://uk.remington-europe.com/men/grooming/beard-trimmers/barba-mb320c-__6515.html) is on it's way out (I've had a couple in succession) and now looking for a new one. Is there anything better out there? There seems to be a lot to choose from on the Remington website (http://uk.remington-europe.com/men/grooming/beard-trimmers/).

When I used to be bearded and sandalled up I took offence at the mark up beard trimmers commanded over regular barbers hair clippers

TBH I never saw the difference and happily trimmed my facial hair with a No1 all over from Argos

After my previous really crappy trimmer, the Remington is a revelation and it caters for pretty much most beard lengths.

My BaByliss for Men iTrim Stubble has been good. It goes down to 0.5mm for a neat stubble look.

That's very similar to the Remington I've had for the past seven years. It does a good good on my increasingly white stubble so I'd recommend it too.

Got one after numerous recommendations on PH (do a search)

Agree on the iStubble. Great product and lasted me years.

Seems like the iStubble only goes from 0.4 to 5mm and the Remingtons go much higher but not as short. Is there anything that covers both short stubble and short beard (beyond 5mm at least)?

5mm is a lot actually, enough for what I'd call a short beard anyway.

Then again, I only really use it to maintain stubble.

I too had one of the iStubble ones and it totally died on me one day, stopped charging.

I now have a Remington something or other which has been good.

As above, a decent Wahl clipper (I have a Super Taper) or similar does the job perfectly. With a Wahl you can buy something like the below to fill in the gaps. The obvious bonus point is you can cut your own hair!
