My left elbow has been giving mild to moderate pain, seems to be after doing some painting, is it more than likely Tennis Elbow ?
Anyone had this and can you ever get rid of it, its been a month or so now, I want to get back to doing some weights but it doesnt really feel like a great idea.

I had quite bad tennis elbow last year (confirmed by the physiotherapist).
For a week or so I thought it was where I'd knocked it against something, as it felt like the pain was on the outside, right on the corner of my elbow.
Certain movements and lifting was absolutely fine, others hurt.
The physio gave me specific excercises to do to fix the tendons.
If you get it treated as soon as possible then ultra sonic things they use are more effective for a speedier recovery, I wished I'd got it seen to earlier (I waited a month or so).
I'm sure it's different for everyone and each injury slightly different, and I don't want to depress you, but certain movements (picking up a watering can to rinse the roof of the car off was the worst!) still gave me slight discomfort for about a year.
I'd get it checked out and treated sooner rather than later, just to get the healing started asap if it is tennis elbow.

Is it the outside, or inside of your elbow? Sometimes the pain is masked and actually coming from somewhere else!
People are often mis-diagnosed with Tennis elbow, rather than Golfer's elbow.
If the pain is on the outside, to the top of your forearm it's defo tennis elbow. I actually tore my tendon and needed tennis elbow release surgery, which involved cutting off, hammering the bone and re-attaching the tendon. Not nice...!
If you're struggling, I cannot recommend strong enough not to get rubbish elbow support tubi grip type things.

If you rest up and not grip things too hard, it should go within a few weeks - good luck!

I had tennis elbow, and in all honesty it took the best part of twelve months and quite a few trips to the physio to get rid. Mine came on after using a mallet while building units for my camper of all things. I'm back at the gym as normal now, although I did wear a tennis elbow clasp like THIS for a while. I'm still careful, and if I get a twinge I stop training. Some exercises, such as hammer curls are still a no-go for me.Anyone had this and can you ever get rid of it, its been a month or so now, I want to get back to doing some weights but it doesnt really feel like a great idea.

I did some gentle weights last night to test it, no better or worse today though my chest hurts, so must have done some work !
Will book an appointment in the next few days.
Be really, really careful! Will book an appointment in the next few days.
I had a sore elbow, outside corner just where you would 'clip' it on a doorpost or door edge on the way past. Thought little of it and continued with the weights thinking I'd 'power' through it. How f
king wrong was I? Ended up in severe pain, no 'backhand' strength whatsoever, had physio, cortisone injections, ice-packs and all the f
