Was doing a bit of mountaineering in Switzerland in the middle of August and hurt my ankle on the way up one of the mountains. The slopes i was climbing, my right ankle was at a bit of an awkward angle going up and the slopes were quite steep so i think i must have sprained it or pulled something.

At the minute, i can walk and run on the ankle without issue and carry heavy weights and everything feels fine. However, if i twist my ankle or do something like try to stretch my calves i.e. moving my knee forward and putting my ankle at an angle, i can feel a soreness and tightness in it. I've had the flu for the last 10 days so not really down any running at all but it doesn't feel any better. Visit to the doctor just said to keep my weight off of it which is difficult when i've got 2 Huskies that need walking twice a day.

Any ideas? I'm looking at trekking through the Himilayas next May and doing Mont Blanc next June so was hoping to start training for that soon.
