If I'm clean eating can I have any/all herbs and spices? or should some be avoided?

ETA - what about soy sauce, mustard, ginger etc?

They look like sensible articles to me. Not that anyone on a fad diet would only look for articles to confirm their fad is the best thing ever, though.

Get out of bed the wrong side today, did we?

"Clean eating" is not the same as "healthy eating".

All clean eating means to me is eating no processed foods. This http://www.dummies.com/food-drink/special-diets/ea... probably defines it best also this http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/clea... give some really good recipes.

I'm confused. Isn't that NHS page all about healthy eating? It's the basis for the dietry advice I was given during my cardiac rehab programme - most of which I already do.

Perhaps I should have just googled the question and not ask on here.

To answer your original question - to me, herbs/spices etc. are perfectly OK as part of any diet, healthy, clean or otherwise. I make one or two curries a week and use lots of both. Since the beginning of the year, I've lost an average of a kilo a month in weight and yesterday my fitness level was assessed at twice what it was two months ago.
