Given the ubiquity of the adverts for absorbent pads or pants for this problem why is this still a thing? Does it cost more than it appears to(with simple equipment and the lack of a need for a doctor it can't cost that much on an hourly basis shirley?) or is the NHS just so monolithic that the ship can't be turned quickly? I've no practical experience of incontinence but I can imagine that it can have disproportionate psychological impact which in turn is going to affect the individual's life and the lives of their immediate family. If nothing else giving birth is much more traumatic than breaking a leg and you'd be routinely offered rehab physio for that.
