Norovirus - baby seems to be source but least impacted

Early Friday morning the misses wakes up and runs to the loo to be sick and has the runs, I was still ok so took my 8mth old son to his nans in the morning (he seemed ok) to keep him away from it. By 5pm Friday I was ill, by 3pm Saturday his nan and aunts who I had been looking after my son was also ill, we were all ill for 36hrs and all very rough.
During the whole time my son was fine no probs seemed himself eating sleeping so we didn't think he was the source, but thinking back now he was rather sick once on Wednesday night that was unusual, we are now thinking he was the source but I thought he would of been ill more, can you pick up virus likes this off babies were they might not show much effect were as adults it puts them in bed and over the loo for a few days ?

I was on the bog virtually non-stop, day and night for two weeks...

Managed to top the noro virus this weekend by the little one coming down with hand, foot and mouth disease, 48hrs non stop crying, no sleep, A&E visit, now little dude is covered in sores / blisters and ulcers in his mouth.
Never heard of that when we had kids but now we're grandparents it seems to be rife. You don't want to catch it as an adult - my wife had it really bad.

Unusual that your baby would show less severe symptons because you have a more developed immune system. The moment anyone shows a bit of illness in our house I'm putting Dettol on door handles and light switches. OCD like that!

)I'm just hoping me and misses don't catch Hand foot and mouth off him as apparently hits adults hard though its difficult to catch off kids, but when you have literally been holding and comforting your son for 3 days straight I can see how I can't catch it now 
Never heard of hand foot and mouth before this but it is nasty, son seems to have it badly he seems to covered it the spots and blisters, thought we might have had small amount of the ulcers and mouth sores but they appeared in anger last night, he only sleeps for 30min - 1hr after he has stuff to damp down the blistering that also makes him drowsy. Me and the misses are like zombies now think Ive had 4hrs sleep over last 3 night. I've had enough I am really struggling.
