ball ache (literal)
Discussion
I had a dull and persistent pain in that area a couple of years ago. Thought it was an issue with my crown jewels, had examinations etc., but nothing conclusive.
It persisted for a couple of months, at which point I started to get back pain, followed by pain down one leg.
The pain my crown jewels was the start of some bigger issues with a trapped nerve in my back - an MRI scan showed some minor damage to vertebrae in my lower back, after suffering on and off for 12 months, it was finally tracked down to nerves getting trapped in the muscles - physio sorted me out.

Few sharp, stabbing pains down their, some stomach ache, flatulence recently is likely to be a urinary infection
Treated by antibiotics

Err. Not sure where you're getting that from, I doubt it'd be a UTI with those symptoms!Treated by antibiotics
Go back to your GP
OP: have you had a urine dipstick test and an STI check? Unless proven otherwise, I'd be thinking chlamidya or gonorrhoea if you're a under 45.
Book yourself in at a GUM clinic either way, it's their bread and butter and you'll see a doctor whose job it is to deal with these issues.
All the best and Merry Xmas. P

Abdominal pain with flatulence is not a common presentation for a male UTI. The issue giving advice over the internet is that GPs have a special way of "just knowing" when their patients are ill, because they listen and examine to them in person, hence why you had a good diagnosis from him Ah but what does the NHS know vs the forum folks' collective ? unless you're a UTI Specialist ?

Epididymoorchitis (testicular pain) is commonly caused by a UTI if over 40ish, under 40ish more likely to be an STI.
I wouldn't comment if I didn't have a decent level of understanding (i.e. penultimate year medical student, 3 months experience of working in a urology lab).
Edit: FWIW, a good experience for me. Never will give out medical advice online again -- most certainly not in a "throwing toys out of pram" kind of way -- just that this is a perfect example of why it isn't wise, when you haven't taken the history or done the examination in person, to give advice!

To prescribe antibiotics without first getting diagnosed with a UTI wouldn't be in anyone's interest - maybe best to see your GP again? Hope you get better soon.its definitely not an STI !

I had similar , had it drag on for months last year, DR found a little bit of swelling on tubes and gave me antibiotics initially then wait 3 weeks for a scan
I then had a scan, I made them do it twice at the time (much to their annoyance) and had two ladies doing the scan tell me there is nothing at all wrong with my balls!
It then went away
i think mine was from cycling, I was using a different saddle at the time, riding off road to work most days with no suspension and I think the saddle was poking me down there! Althugh Ive been riding 100+ miles a week for years and cycling since a kid with no issues, hence it wasn't obvious
Also I often get odd aches and pains in that leg from the groin down to the toes, so I think I also irritate the nerves down the leg from cycling
I agree that stress can be a factor, often I project all my stresses in life onto odd aliments I have.

ironic username for the topic ... I then had a scan, I made them do it twice at the time (much to their annoyance) and had two ladies doing the scan tell me there is nothing at all wrong with my balls!

this sits <pun deliberate> with my earlier suggestion about what does the OP usually wear ... as too ight / too loose can impact and the whole bike saddle related crotch issues is an issue for anyone regardless of sex who does a lot of cycling with the wrong saddle / clothing
I've had something similar for quite a while now. It seems to centre on the point where the back of the sack meets the top of the leg, but the pain radiates into the nut on that side occasionally, like a very mild form of being kicked there.
Doc checked everything out and pronounced No Fault Found. Had the prostate checked too, plus I was recently (routinely) screened for bowel cancer and got a "much better than average" score for that, so there seems to be nothing wrong, but it still comes back sometimes.
I ride a motorbike every day and I did wonder whether that was related. Changed bikes earlier this year and subjectively I'd say it might be slightly better.

quite possibly - after all sitting in a saddle whether push iron,. horse or motorcycle puts the loads through someone not really thought out to be used for load bearing ... I have exactly this and have had it for around a year. Went to the doctors and she could find no issues so she booked me in for an ultrasound scan on my nuts and they could find nothing but a healthy set of giblets. It's not really painful it's just really uncomfortable and annoying.

That is the key take home message with all remote advice giving especially if there is no 'consultation' what so ever before giving it .Edit: FWIW, a good experience for me. the safe clinical advice would be GP or GU med to get tested for a UTI and/or STIs as well as a proper consultation and examination, and if it;s relevant to a topic mention 'red flag' symptoms i.e. blood in urine or the really acute and severe pain of torsion.

Very similar situation to me. Scan showed I was normal, I think they confused normal with magnificent in my view.I worked out my own bikes were fine but the nose up saddles in the gym room were gradually attacking my plums.
It did take several months of no cycling at all for things to settle down.
I get occasional pain in my nuts had an ultrasound and turned out I have a varicocele which is a bit like a varicose vain, if I'm on my feet all day a get a heavy dull ache which can go into my stomach. I've been offered an minor op to sort it out which I really need to get done when I get a chance.

that's an option - the 'heavyness' is probably congestion as the valves aren;t doing their job ( which is what causes the varicosity) - more supportive underwear might be an option worth a try in the interim ... especially if you are a baggy pants person at presentGassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
