I thought this would get a better response here than in holidays.
I'm starting to arrange the family holiday for this summer, trying to please two teenagers is proving a bit problematic.
My son is 18 and has become a bit of a gym bunny, I like to hit the gym as well if poss while we are away.
Any recommendations in Europe with a bit of culture thrown in for the womenfolk?

We have a fully equipped gym for our two cottages if you like the dordogne area of france, wine, castles and unbeleivable walks, bordeaux is 1.5 hrs away along empty motorway etc, michelin star restaurant within walking distance from cottages, cottages are 1 beds though, so you'd need both which might make it a bit to costly.

Depends what sort of gym you're looking for I guess, Conor McGregor goes to Iceland for MMA training and there's a big strongman culture there so I'd imagine there's a few weights gyms knocking about.

Wow, learn something new everyday. A quick Google and it transpires Mjolnir is walking distance from our place in Iceland. Would love to take my boys down there to watch some training when we're next there.

OP is Iceland was of interest I can certainly recommend a few Crossfit gyms. However, if you're after a bit more sun several friends have been here https://www.clublasanta.co.uk/ and seem to enjoy it. The resort is totally sport focussed, but hire a car and I guess the island is totally accessible.
