So I've finally decided to get Invisalign but I'm unsure where to get it done.
I've done my research and read through many of the old threads, and most people recommend going to a qualified orthodontist that does Invisalign. After checking out the official Invisalign website, the company "Perfect Smile" seems to be the highest rated clinic as well as carrying out the most procedures with competitive pricing but there's no mention of qualified orthodontist on their site.
Firstly I was wondering does anyone have any experience with his company and also is Invisalign legit or will I be wasting my money.

I had it done at a local orthodontist years ago. It's a good system, make sure you keep up with the retainers though! I didn't and they have started moving back again 
I wouldn't travel miles as you'll have a few appointments to attend. Find a well recommended orthodontist locally and they'll be able to sort it for you.

I had it done. A mate is a dentist in Harley Street and recommended that I do it for some longer term benefits (my teeth suffer from plaque build up and he thought it would be easier to control if they were less higgledy piggledy). He gave me a great deal.
Very happy with the results.
Your teeth do move back so you have to keep the last retainer and wear it most nights.

My wife's finished Invisalign treatment recently. Amazing results. Yes it wasn't cheap, but she had loads of support and follow-up treatments all included in the price. When she finished the treatment they put in some invisible braces behind her teeth so that they stay that way - so the comment above of "half way back to where they used to be after a year" sounds like utter horsesh!t to me.
One thing I would say, I really felt the wife worked harder than I'd be prepared to wearing those things for a year. It isn't hassle free - but like I say the results are amazing.

I was offered some wires behind my teeth but they would have interfered with flossing (and given that plaque is my enemy, I didnt think that was a good thing). He did brace the bottom two but that came off with some TePe action.
So not everyone will have the braces behind their teeth.

Well aware of the retainer thing. I had braces as a teen, but my teeth went all wonky and probably worse than it first was after not wearing my retainers, might not be that bad for other people but I still hate the way it looks.
Been thinking about getting them fixed for some years now because I frankly am a bit obsessed with having a perfect teeth/smile and hate bad teeth. It's probably one of the first things I notice with meeting people.
My teeth are pretty white, brush with Sonicare and floss with a regular floss, air floss and sometimes interdental brushes, so yeah I'm pretty damn OCD about them, and I want to get them desperately fixed for my sake and confidence.

I completed my Invisalign course about six months ago (42 retainers, 12 months). I used a practice in Cambridge who were excellent (both in terms of the advice and care provided).
Post-course I'm still wearing the aligner each night and there's been no movement. I've also got small wires behind the upper/lower front teeth to limit movement which means that ultimately I can wind down the use of the nightly retainer to only a couple of times per week.
A few things to note:
-Be sure to select a practice that have treated lots of patients (the more the better, the experience of the orthodontist will help to determine your result). Ideally, ask to see some photos from past and current patients;
-Do not pay for any upfront consultations - my orthodontist told me that those that do this do so because they have to pay a fee to Invisalign for each consultation, the more experienced practices do not have to do this; and
-Wear your aligner religiously as prescribed. You more closely you follow the instructions (my OCD and a looming wedding helped) the better/quicker the result will be

You'll probably find that if you get them whitened again it'll help, but pointless doing it if you're going to go have braces fitted. On mine they did a whitening on the last 2 visits once I'd had mine removed and also gave me a mouth guard that was moulded to my teeth. What's good about that is you can just use whitening gels from your local dentist in your retainer. I still have my metal one on my teeth, I was just planning on leaving it on and it's been a couple of years now since it was put in. I stopped using the mouthguard after about 6 months, which was fine according to the dentist I went with. Edited by DoodoolTala on Monday 9th January 00:05
My Wife recently completed a 12-month invisalign course, cost her about £2500 (paid monthly DD), about 22 retainers in total. She used Thurlow Dental Surgery near Southampton. I use them as my normal dental surgery they are that good. Before the treatment started her teeth were bad, She could eat an apple through a letterbox.... now they are perfect.

t.Just because I happened to be looking into teeth whitening too, I came across this offer from Sensu - http://www.sensu.co.uk/dental-treatments/cosmetic-.... Invisalign i7 and free teeth whitening for £1500.
I would go with a proper orthodontist, i have the misfortune of having full on metal braces at the age of 36. I have to have my lower jaw advanced 6mm which, luckily means the nhs pay for the lot. My consultant told me that 6 month smile type things are ok for very minor problems but you should never ever let a regular dentist put braces on your teeth, also you will need to wear a retainer forever or they will move, but like the posters above say, you can have the retaining wires bonded on the back of your teeth.
From what I have picked up during my time in braces is that, it is not a case of just moving the teeth, they take into account facial symmetry and jaw function etc, much more than you would think. I went to have braces just to straighten things up but ended up requiring surgery and im now 12 months in,and will be having the surgery sometime in another 10-12 months, then the braces for another 6 months then retainers. Moving teeth is a very slow process and mine where still loose 6 months ago and have now started firming up again, looking at blogs for the 6 month smile seems there are a few unhappy customers that have movement not long after.
