People who make you ill?
Discussion
Literally. I've had a couple of occasions where out of absolutely nowhere I've gone from being 100% fine to shaking like a s
tting dog with cold/flu within the space of a couple of hours.
Both times have coincided with being in prolonged proximity with the same pair of work colleagues who appear fit and healthy and who have not been ill whilst I've spent 3-4 days out of action.
I know people say "Don't give me your germs" but can it be that specific people can "carry" stuff to which you're more susceptible?

Kids in general are harbingers of illness! When I worked in an office most of the breeders used to bring their kids sickness with them
You don't need to work in an office, just shop in a supermarket. Worst of all are doctors' surgeries - always full of full of sick people.I think anywhere with air circulation is asking for trouble.
An Airbus can carry 853 passengers, I got on one a few weeks ago and noticed how many people were coughing, sneezing, sniffing etc, I didn't stand a chance. Sure enough within 24hrs I'd picked up one or more viruses and had flu like symptoms including that one that's doing the rounds now Worldwide that the Queen had. It really spoiled my holiday and I've still got the bloody thing now!

It is disgusting how many people do not wash their hands.I was at a wedding and a guy who was dressed very smartly just came out of the toilet cubicle and straight out the door.
Just lets say you could tell he did something

Anyway got back to the table and after a while I asked if anyone knew him.
He is a surgeon at a major hospital in my area.
Now that is worrying.
Hospitals claim they're doing all they can to reduce 'bugs' but my local one, where I spent four nights last Easter, didn't take MRSA swabs when I was admitted. Another one, ten miles away required them when I spent a single night there. As for the hand wash stations on each corridor, I rarely see people using them.
However, what really bugs me is that wheelchairs are available for patients to use, they're kept by tha main entrance and go from ward to ward, with many people a day riding in each one but they're not routinely cleaned.
My O/H starts a new job tomorrow, she's taking a bottle of anti-bac gell with her. Unfortunately she has to commute by train, you can bet there'll be someone sniffing and coughing.
