Home Gym to lose weight and better cardio

.....The gym isn't going to work for me as not a great place to get to / park / dirty / busy etc "insert excuse"

I do have a space in my garage and if not out driving I do work from home. I was considering getting a rowing machine / cross trainer / cycle machine secondhand of ebay or gumtree.

Is there any good makes or model that you would recommend ?

I'd recommend a second hand one rather than new - there's really not much changed over the years...
