As someone who runs and cycles and has been prone to over training and injury in the past it's been suggested that I look at HRV monitoring to see which days I an safely push myself and which days I should hold back or rest.

A quick Google suggests that ithlete and Elite HRV are popular apps. Any one using them or anything else that they'd recommend? Do you find the data useful?

I've sporadically used HRV4 Training. Was kind of OK but only really told me how I felt anyway.

I guess if you cross checked your actuall training with the HRV the next day it could be more useful, especially for creating a training plan, but I don't take it that seriously.
