Anybody else have this? I have an inclination towards benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, every now and then I will be lying on my side and objects I look at appear to be moving. Not very pleasant but nothing at all compared to a full blown attack. I've had that twice, once on Monday and a couple of years ago before that. I trigger it (unintentionally) by bending forwards and then turning my head sideways.
I did that on Monday, didn't notice anything until about an hour afterwards and then it hit. Managed to get to a chair and sat there for about an hour sweating at staring at the floor, keeping my head still. Then the nausea struck and I had to head upstairs to the toilet. On the way up the stairs came up and struck me across the nose (good job the stairs are wooden and carpeted). But I didn't care, the vertigo was so bad that I didn't care. Got to the toilet, spewed my guts up and then lay on the floor for a couple of hours. Eventually I managed to sit on the toilet and although I needed to wash my mouth out the sink which was at my shoulder might as well have been somewhere very far away.
It was about six hours before I could contemplate moving and a couple after that before I could even think about food without wanting to vomit again.
I really must remember not to turn my head sideways if I am bending forward for any reason.

I too, suffer with this. And I mean suffer. It's so debilitating when it strikes. My GP said it's something that happens with age (like everything else). Apparently tiny bits of the inner ear flake off and cause the imbalance, which in turn causes the nausea. It's horrible when turning over in bed and the room spins as though you're drunk. This causes sweating and nausea also. There is a technique whereby you lay on the bed with your head hanging over the edge and quickly rotate your head from left to right. This does seem to work for a while, until another bit of inner ear flakes off.
you have my sympathy.
