Palliative NHS care

Anyone unhappy like myself about NHS palliative care? Who do you complain to? Called for a home visit yesterday for dad, terminal prostate cancer. The doc didn't have a clue about his condition and he's supposed to be our family doctor!
My late father's GP was largely unaware of his health in the later stages of cancer. Then again, he hadn't been to see them for 18 months. Have you spoken to his Oncology team?
District Nurses?
Are Macmillan involved?
Very bad that a GP is making house calls without knowing details of patient's condition, at my surgery a check list has to be gone through before each home visit.
Initially complain to the GP's practice which will have an established compaints procedure, also contact the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) for your area.
