What supplements does everyone use
Discussion
Just getting back into all of my fitness stuff and Thai boxing after deciding to step away from marathon running so just wondering what supplements everyone is using?
Currently taking a multivitamin/multi nutrient, Tribulus and Whey protein. So many people say Tribulus doesn't have any effect at all on men so going to stop that but also looking at starting BCAA which I've never tried before. Does any of it really give an obvious boost at all?

Only whey, I don't actually view it as a supplement TBH as it makes up around 60% of my daily protein intake.Currently taking a multivitamin/multi nutrient, Tribulus and Whey protein. Most other sups are a waste of time IME (other than vits/mins & possibly fish oil if your diet doesn't provide)
(1) Top notch vitamin and mineral supplements, as follows:
- multi-vit and mineral;
- circumin;
- glucosamine hydrochloride;
- beta-glucans;
- extra vitamin C;
I take those most days plus some extra vitamin C after a heavy workout.
(2) Fish oil supplement (couple of massive pills per day).
(3) Whey protein - 1 shake mid-morning; 1 mid-afternoon if I have only have one lunch; 1 shake after a workout .
(4) Casein protein - 1 shake 30 mins before bed. I have just started doing this again after remembering that I was doing so when in the 2 months where my strength shot up.
It all seems to work for me. I get zero joint pain if I remember to take my glucosamine and fish oils. I get zero DOMS if I keep up the protein supplements. And I get a cold maybe once a year (at most).

ORD, are these what you'd recommend?
https://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/glucosa...
It recommends 1 tablet a day, so 360tablets for just over £20 would last a year...
Do you use take just normal Cod Liver Oil tablets as well?

I get my fish oil from Cytoplan (expensive but all good quality products).
Zinc, calcium , Mag at night
Zinc with breakfast
Think I was Zinc deficient, as since supplementing twice a day my skin is so much better, I have developed stronger more visible leg muscles quicker and sex drive has gone through roof.
Could be a placebo, but I don't care if is, as its a cheap supplement with no noticeable side effects
I do cycle intensively normally daily, so it could make sense I have gone deficient over time due to sweat loss etc..

Over the years I've reduced what I used in the way of supplements.
Whey Protein- Once a day for convenience, I only consume 200G protein a day so I get most from my days food
Multi-Vitamins. Vitamin C (2000MG)
Digestive Enzyme - 1 with breafast
Creatine Mono- 5G a day
BCAA- 1 serving whilst training
I'll have the odd pre workout shake but usually stick to coffee.
