I was woken up last night with a stabbing pain in my knee. It's like being poked hard with a needle every 20 seconds or so. I had the same thing in my shin over Xmas and thought it was shingles. The Doctor gave me some nerve pills and it stopped of its own accord. It still feels like a nerve thing as the skin is sensitive to a light touch but nothing to see or feel inside. Any clues as to what might be causing and what to do about it?
