Just wondered if there are any cases on mania on Fluxotine reported?

yep, often known colloquially as a "manic switch". this could be an "adverse" drug reaction but may also point to an hitherto occult bi-polar or other cyclical mood instability.

SSRIs such as fluoxetine are "energising" anti-depressants and it's a known, albeit less common, risk. studies carried out on patients with a unipolar depression are less common than studies amongst the bi-polar cohort but seem to suggest rates between 6 and 13%. it's much more common in bi-polar disorders, seems to be associated with dose increases, and seems to be more prevalent in all adolescents but also males of any age.

other common side effects, particularly during the initiation phase, are restlessness, agitation and other psycho-motor impairments which would not be considered a "manic switch"
