Aluminium Free Deoderant
Discussion
I thought it would be a good idea to try and move away from aluminium-based anti-perspirants because of all the emerging health risks. I did some research and found that there are actually very few products! I bought a thing called PitRok, and whilst it was £5.99 for a small stick, I have to say after 2 days that it quite possibly does less than f
k all. I absolutely f
king stink. It cannot be underestimated. I have been advised that there may be an 'adjustment period' for my body but i am not sure i want to stick it out as i feel this may just be the time taken for me to get used to my stink, not for it to go away. Has anyone actually got advice for me please? I would like to remain alu-free if at all possible.

Essentially micro amounts of metals are found in the brains of those who suffer with these type of degenerative brain disorders. Aluminium is the active ingredient in anti-perspirant.
Cancer rates are increasing, and science is only just finding out potential reasons, and many of these unsurprisingly lead to chemical exposure from household products and other products we come across daily.
I am not interested in an argument about scientific method or how research is funded, i have just made a personal decision to cut that out (and talcum powder - read up on that one at your leisure but it's not dissimilar).
On the subject of have i not showered or washed... cannot be serious? I am not really going to post on the internet before remembering i haven't washed in days come on!
I previously used aluminium based anti-perspirant - no sweat, no smell, at all. Only thing changed is the product used.

I use the "stick" type. Just checked the labels of the two in my cupboard.
Sure men xtra cool 48h antiperspirant contains aluminium zirconium.
Old Spice Original deodorant stick does not contain any.
I googled the aluminium zirconium and it is a product used for antiperspirants, so perhaps if you look at only deodorants you will have better luck.

Pitrok spray for men.
We ve been using it for 5 years. Smells nice and works.
Takes about 5 days for pores to adjust to not being blocked but then good.
All our family now use it.
Far less risky than normal anti perspirants they say.
The men version is scented.... my wife uses it too. Far better than the unscented version.

Not sure of this adjusting thing. The first time I used it before hitting the gym bike it was fine for me.
Do you wet the "crystal" before applying it? It must be wet enough to slip on the skin. I normally just touch my hand under water, then pat my armpits so they're wet, then stick the deo stick under the tap so it's wet then apply. Let it dry normally (or wipe it off with a towel if you dry with a towel
).

I get it from the USA via Amazon and it's about £20 a bottle but lasts about 4 months applied twice a day.
You can get it in a spray (not aerosol) just like a water spray, it's not cheap but great. Ironically I couldn't find it anywhere when in the US. Seems it's mail order even via CVS or Walgreens.
I now get crystal roll on from Amazon for £4.50 or so a pop. It's a life saver for me.

Use some driclor to block up the pits for a couple of nights (read the instructions!!!)
Use pitrok crystal on freshly cleaned and still wet pits and allow to dry naturally, yes you will need to walk around with your arms up for a bit. ☺️ Do not wet the crystal directly (hoof!).
That should work just fine.

My wife uses this: https://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-1853322-zion-health...
(although not from that shop, I tend to buy it in America when I go)
