Garmin Vivosport vs. Forerunner 235
Discussion
please excuse if in the wrong place, this could be in health / gadgets / cycling / sports / any number of places...
That nice guy Santa is getting the wifey a Garmin Vivosport for christmas. That's a done deal.
I currently use a fitbit for steps & heartrate, and endomondo or strava on my phone for tracking runs & cycling. Santa wants to get me a wrist based thingy that will combine both. The Garmin Vivosport does have GPS tracking, but am wondering if a Forerunner 235 would offer that much more? Is there any difference in the syncing between the two?
If I understand correctly, strava can run directly on the 235 whereas you have to do it differently on the Vivosport?

Ah, thanks for that clonmult. Missed that completely. I thought it effectively *was* a smartwatch.
It is a "kinda" smartwatch. There are apps available : https://apps.garmin.com/en-GB/devices/forerunner23...
But didn't see Strava (there is a "Strava Suffer score" app). If you can get it for a good price, would possibly be worth it - but definitely worth waiting to see what the 245 offers.
