Might seem obvious, but never bet more than you can afford to lose.
I can definitely see if you won £1300 how tempting it would be to have "one more go".
"Robert" is having similar problems on Coronation Street at the moment....just lost £10,000 in no time at all.
Don't know what the answer is, it's like trying to tell a long term smoker to give up.
Ultimately you have to want to do it enough yourself.

There's closed and closed with these companies. Make sure they won't let you open then again.They'll probably send you Christmas presents etc to try and get your business back. They're heartless.

Consider seeing a counsellor who deals with addiction matters? A good one will probably cost you £50-100 an hour but in the long it will be an investment.
Is there any way you could put a block on gambling transactions through your bank? Of course I’m assuming here that’s how you fund your account but that’s not foolproof either as many online bookmakers let you make cash deposits via their shops.
It’s so depressing how we’re now constantly fed gambling ads 24/7 when we watch sport on the telly. They should treat gambling advertising in the same way they do tobacco advertising imo.

I can't really advise you other than to say get some help, i had an uncle with similar habits, drink, gambling and general inability to self destruct... It's very unpleasant for you and those around you and if the worst were to happen (and there's not much to stop it happening other than what you do) it can ruin lives. It's a complete nightmare.
