Rotator Cuff surgery

I am due for surgery in a couple of weeks time after enduring severe pain and arm weakness for months. The scans show I have one tendon completely ruptured and another 60% ruptured plus bursa problems.
Has anyone experience of this operation? How bad is it and realistically how long before I can drive at track days again?
Any information is appreciated
