any one used apetamin for weight gain
Discussion
been a bit of a tough last year, with 3 parents passing away suddenly within 6 months, house clearances and care home issues for mil with dementia, and after a bought of flu in January, my weight was down to 7stone 4, I am 5ft 5, so underweight.
I don't seem to have any appetite, and when I do eat, don't eat much, a work mate said to try apetamin works, as it increased your appetite and therefore weight gain. any one had any experience with this, as trying to eat normally is not working.
many thanks

Very sorry for your loss. It is no wonder that you landed up with the flu. Your clearly under a lot of emotional stress.I don't seem to have any appetite, and when I do eat, don't eat much, a work mate said to try apetamin works, as it increased your appetite and therefore weight gain. any one had any experience with this, as trying to eat normally is not working.

I know of a few people who I have not seen at the gym since before Christmas coming back looking terrible. One lady only yesterday stated that she had been ill before Christmas and has only now be able to even attempt coming back to the gym. She went daily so it shows how much it has taken out of her. She was only just eating meals herself.
So would not be too hard on yourself regarding eating. Yes you are not hungry but after having the flu alone your appetite can disappear for at least another few weeks. This alone puts many people off food without the emotional stress as well.
If you do want to kick start things I would go down the more natural route. Full fat milk, yogurt, cheese, cream and also nuts of any kind. Even if you just have a few yogurts during the day it will at least be easier to eat and not but such a chore.
Also you can add full fat milkshakes and other drinks which are higher in fat. This again is like a thick meal without the thought of eating food.
But give it time. Once the flu has totally left your system I am sure you will be able to start wanting to eat soon.
