Subacromial decompression surgery, Acupuncture
Discussion
It has been a long time comming but folowing on from this... https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... and all associated health problems/time off work since (now at 14 months) I have received the specialist report after the MRI I had last year, I have been informed I need to have surgical decompression of the right acromioclavicular joint to enable the specialist to correctly diagnose and give a prognosis on what problems I am having, I'm guessing a few of you have had this procedure, so anything I should ask? anything I should expect afterwards?
Thankfully the MRI has shown nothing wrong with my Thoracic spine or Lumbar spine but has shown up something in the Cervical spine particularly C6/C7 (which I assume accounts for the neck problems I have). For this they have recommended 6 sessions of Acupuncture.
Anyone have any insight into this type of treatment? I know it involves sticking needles in me but that's about all I know.

Well today I received the paperwork informing me I will be contacted for my consultation before surgery, I had a read up on the procedure and can honestly say the part that bothers me most is the not being able to drive for a few weeks, small price to pay though when I think of what could have happened on that journey to work.
I thank whoever was looking down on me that morning!
This is the procedure i will have...
