I use to frequent a large gym and do a 3 day split, the 5 big body compound exercises were the corner stone of my routine (bench, squat, dead-lift, barbell row, and overhead press).

My next-door neighbour has now given me a key to his home gym for use any time I like, the obvious benefit of this is there is no travel time, no cost, no waiting around for equipment to become available and everything is brand new - it really is very nice.

I've got the following equipment available:

Bench
Smith Machine
Multipurpose resistance machine (Precor FTS Glide)
Dumbbells
Medicine Balls
Weight trainning bags
Cardio machines but I don't do cardio

My concern is that a SMITH machine compromises the benefits of squatting, and there's nowhere to dead lift. I don't know if you can use a smith machine to do barbell row or overhead press either. So that just leaves the bench and dumbbells?

Do you think I can still get a decent workout and if so what exercises would you suggest, or should I just make time to go back to my original gym?

Just to add my goals are just to add a little bit of muscle definition, improve stamina and keep excess fat at bay.
