Can't sit down.

I saw my consultant on Wednesday, and they suspect crohn's disease, so instead of wanting the skin to heal over like with a pilonidal sinus, I need to keep mine open, and have to massage my bum cheek to keep the discharge coming out.
I am set to have an MRI and endoscopy in the next few months.
But my biggest issue is the tract, and the pain it's causing. Imagine a pilonidal sinus that is full, and swollen, that's what it feels like, I can't sit on my left cheek.
I am going to go see my GP, as Tramadol isn't working, and hope he can give me something else, but I need to figure something to cushion me so I can sit, and drive. A rubber ring has been tried, but idn't help as it's the cheek that's sore.
Any ideas are very welcome please, I need some sort of life back while these investigations take place.

The images seem to suggest sitting fairly low on your bum, I more remember the pressure being higher up, on the bottom of my spine.
or what about sitting on one of the bouncing ball things? Just ideas as I don't know where is painful!
