Please could anyone advise on a lightweight and folding wheelchair for travel?

Specifically what should I be looking for in terms of wheel sizes and frame construction? Or a particular make?

It's for an elderly traveler to Marrakesh, I'm assuming a few potholes etc will have to be navigated to and from the airport but most of the time will be spent on the resort site which I've been told is level

Could anyone advise please?

RGK stuff is grossly over priced IMHO.

I would suggest you go to your local mobility shop and have a look. There basically two types, transit where the person in the wheelchair does nothing or self propelled which has larger rear wheels with a ring around so that the person in the chair can move themselves.

If the person is a normal size then a standard 18 inch chair will be fine, I pay a little bit more for aluminium frame a steel chairs a very heavy.

One word of warning airport baggage handlers can do a lot of damage to wheelchairs - I used to repair wheelchairs and scooters, some looked like the plane had run them over!

I'll post back once I've tried it and let you know how I got one.

Thanks
