Mild (?) Astigmatism: Laser Eye Surgery?

Been wearing glasses for 15 years, and I am sick of them. I work in IT (staring at monitor all day), play lots of tennis and squash.

Am I suitable for laser eye surgery, whats the rough cost these days?
Any recommendations in Hampshire or close by please?
I have 'light sensitive' blue eyes, does this make any difference? I often struggle serving (tennis) when the sun is bright.

R Sphere: -0.75
R Cylinder: -1.50

Have you thought about contact lenses? Your prescription looks quite small so you should be able to find toric lenses to suit. I can't help with the laser option but it's often said the big chains are not always a good choice.

I tried contacts about 10 years ago, but I am a massive wuss with my eyes - just hate the idea of sticking my finger in them.

I do loads of sports and have astigmatisms in both eyes

I hate glasses, fine when at home watching tv thats it, crap for sport

I just wear contacts : job jobbed

Just tough it out, after a few days you just bung them in

As I said, I really hate touching my eyes. I'd also dislike the faff of putting them in every morning, and out every night.

Do we have any opthalmologists in the house?
