Hi All,

Spent most of the time outdoors in the countryside and garden yesterday. I did notice a little itch on my wrist but thought nothing of it.

This morning I have woken up to a swollen wrist, the skin feels very tight and movement is restricted a little but not much.

I have a little raised red pimple in the middle of the soreness and itching.

Help please.

Do I just pop an antihistamine tablet and get on with my day!?

Itching is getting a little unbearable.

Welcome to my hell! Summers are a time of fear for me, because some bites (not all) will see me getting similar swollen bites to what you describe...
Anyway, get yourself some Anthisan cream, and also think about a cooling spray which contains Eucalyptus.
Additionally an ice pack will help ease the swelling and itching. Either way, settle in for a couple of days....

Hydrocortisone cream as well as antihistamine. Ice pack and lanacane cream if you want belt and braces approach.

Could be a horse fly bite from your description.

Use After Bite every couple of hours, or Neosporin 3-4 times a day.

I will get worse for 2 days then slowly fade.

Do Not rub or scratch it under any circumstances!!!

Any result other than a 1/2 inch red blob fading outwards see doc.

That is what someone at work said.

At the moment it is no more than 1cm across, that includes the outlying redness. The wrist is swollen but only a 2/10 for pain.
