I'm asking for a friend (honest) and I'm wondering
if anyone has tried NAC, a.k.a. N Acetyl Cysteine.

It's a pseudo vitamin that can be used
for detox for serious things like
paracetamol overdose and lead posioning.

Thanks.

I use it for liver health.
Alongside tudca I brought my liver values right down to within range.
Just take NAC daily now since its pretty cheap.
It's also recommended for those with alpha 1 like my partner has so a must have for us.

Thank you Smiffy.

My ex is a functioning alcoholic and she's using liposomal glutathione on my recommendation.
NAC and Vitamin C can bind with the toxic acetaldehyde made from alcohol and the NAC promotes glutathione production.
so it's a prophylactic strategy, 2 x 600mg NAC (extended release) before and after drinking, 1000mg Vit C in between.

I'm hoping for minimal oral route side effects and to protect the liver, lungs etc as much as possible.

Thanks again, dh

I had the start of fatty liver, my results were 188 (can't remember what unit) but should have been 50 max.
I took 1000mg of tudca and 2400mg NAC (4x 600mg tablets as was aiming for 2g based on recommendations), also had 500mg turmeric towards the end.

It was expensive but the Dr got me tested twice because he couldn't believe the results in 6 months, ended around the 30 mark.
Vitamin C is something I take anyway but hadn't linked it with anything to do with liver.

Good luck anyway! smile
