Any Drs? Hexetidine and pregnant woman

Hoping for a Drs input if possible. Plenty of knowledgable people on here so feel free to leave a comment if it’s potentially valuable.
Currently in Cyprus and my wife yesterday was bed bound. Sore throat, high temp, energy less, headaches.
I went the pharmacist and bought calpol as she couldn’t swallow tablets and soothers.
Still as bad this morning we went to the nearest private clinic. Seen a Dr and he prescribed only Hexalen spray, ingredient being Hexetidine 0.2% w/v
She is feeling a bit better after this spray but currently lying in bed she was messing about ongoogle translate and the instructions, as they are in Greek, say do not take if you are pregnant.
Would you have your wife carry on taking it?
Info of the product - Hexetidine is an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent commonly used in both veterinary and human medicine. It is a local anesthetic.

Mouthwash for use in minor mouth infections, prevention and treatment of gingivitis, treatment of sore throat, aphthous ulcers halitosis and use pre- and post-dental surgery.
Ingredients
Hexetidine 0.1% w/v
Ethanol 0.55%
plus small amounts of eucalyptus oil and levomenthol
in 30 mL, 100 mL, 200 mL and 400 mL bottles.
Toxicity
The toxicity of this product is expected to be related to its ethanol content. Hexetidine is of low toxicity.
It then goes onto only describe toxicity related to ethanol as hexetidine is seemingly so low in toxicity.
I suspect it’s the ethanol aspect that’s bad for pregnancy so warn your wife and advise not to swallow!
