Headtorch recommendations for winter running...
Discussion
Get to decathlon. Lots of options in there. I got this one

Quite light, bright enough. You can tap the side and get a boost function if you are really in a dark spot.
Get some lithium batteries too. They are lighter and last longer, especially int he cold. More expensive though

I've just got an Alpkit Manta for winter running (unlit country lanes)
https://www.alpkit.com/lighting
Looks bright in the back garden and uses 18650 Li-ion batteries so you could swap mid-run (though high is meant to last 11 hours).
I did have an Alpkit Arc but one of the hinges on the light broke. No hassle replacement under the "Alpine Bond", even after 2 years and 11 months (so less than one month warranty left). I just paid the £5 difference between the purchase price of the original light and the Manta.

i prefer this to a headtorch, more comfortable than a lump on your head. Plus you get a safety light for your back.

Another vote for Decathlon, although I use the cheapest one they do at £3.99.

It isn't rechargeable but gets over 12hrs from a pair of AAAs. It's light enough that I don't notice it and produces more than enough light for reasonably well surfaced paths.

I had one similar to this from Amazon but had to send it back as the torch kept moving around. never stayed still and kept having a readjust. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/run-light-250-id_83690...
Preferred the head torch
I use a Petzl Tikka (might be a Tikka Plus, can't remember), and while it's not the brightest you can buy I find it more than adequate for off-road running. More importantly it's tough and very waterproof - while you can get cheapo torches that put out a billion lumens I'd be reluctant to have to rely on them in dodgy conditions.
May I direct you the home of brightness and lithium-ion expertise.

I’ve always found headtorches to be a bit crap for running, the ones I’ve had just aren’t bright enough and I suspect the more powerful ones would be too heavy.
I use a hand torch now, get a decent lenser one (think mines a 6.1) and the difference over a head torch is night and day....Boom boom.
