Clothed as a write (going to gym in an hour)

I’ve been bald since uni and am now 38. I’d like to reverse this situation so I am more gorgeous than I am at present. I’ve been suggested a few cures, has anyone had any success or am I destined to be bald until my death?

Suggestions are:

Alpecin
Caffeine rub
Surgery
Hairpiece
Marmalade blended with caffeine powder
Doing more swimming in oceans
Reducing stress and outside influences on my well being
Volunteering (for example reigniting my alpha male advice thread)

Anyone got any more?

Cheers

Are you bald as in totally? Or balding?

If the latter, then Jurgen Klopp, Beckham, Elon Musk etc are all taking the Propecia type pills after already having hair transplants. Beckham was covered in detail by the Daily Mail, went from balding to overnight (appearance of) head of hair again so he has clearly paid for the best stuff.

Why worry about it?

Generally nothing you can do about going bald - you will most likely have the same baldness your father has.... I assume he's the same?

Do women honestly worry about men losing their hair? Probably only women who are orange.

Some won't fancy you. Just because, you know.

I’ve been told the best option is to take finasteride as soon as you start noticing that have started to go bald.
I don’t think it works much though if you alread have lost a lot of hair.

I’ve been contemplating taking it but the so called side effects continue to put me off.

Definately. As soon as I noticed it was taking longer to wash my face than my hair, it was a number 2 all over for me.

No, it's your mothers father you need to look at.

Minoxidil, but it only works as long as you use it.

If you stop, you lose the hair.

This is good news. Mine is 95 and has an amount of hair I’d be happy to have into old age.

I developed alopecia areata last year first noticed a bald spot on my chin around August and thought nothing of it and then a month or so later after I had been out in the rain my Mrs said I had a bald patch on my head. This gradually grew larger and by Xmas I had bald spots all over my head, I would say 50/50 bald/hair.

Looked a right mess so shaved the rest off and started using Alpecin shampoo. In February this year I noticed some of the spots starting to fill in and by June it had pretty much filled in completely. Hair is back to normal now but my chin in still a little bald only thin blonde whiskers grow in that spot, it’s like going through puberty again.

Not sure if it was the Alpecin that worked or not but still use it every day now.

What's baldness got to do with health.? It's not a disability ffs.

If you are thin on top, like me, just shave it or get a good quality haircut.
If you are bald, accept it.
Why do I never hear folk wanting to change their eye colour ? or the size of their hands?

Why not stick a wig on for high days and holidays?

If you've been bald for 15 or more years presumably everyone in your life accepts you anyway.

If there was a pill that grew it all back it would be worth a pop. The current choices all seem alarming, extreme or hopelessly fiddly to me.
